Mobile shopping is a pain, even though sites are optimized for cell phones, you need to register on each site, confirm the registration,enter billing information and then keep logging regularly to know the order status.
This is changing…. For past few months, we have been building MobiShop, an iPhone app that identifies products via bar-code, searches the web for lowest possible price (merchants include Amazon, Ebay, Shopzilla, GoogleBase) and allows the user to purchase the item from the app with one single tap. No more registering on individual sites or scouring the Internet for lowest price.
In addition, we have a 24-hour price lock guarantee, wherein the consumer pays locked-in price even if the item’s price increases, also offer free shipping (a.k.a. Zappos style) and ability to track all purchases within the app.
Currently undergoing final finishing touches, we plan to release MobiShop within couple of weeks, well before the biggest shopping season of the year…..
